The Beginning of Destiny~

Himeko heart jumped a bit upon hearing that her new friend was the "famous" pianist. She was so dazzled she couldn't catch up upon the rest of the her princess's words. She wondered if the other girl was actually...No it couldn't be. Just a coincidence, Himeko assured herself this quietly.

Himeko was surprised. Her best friend Mako-chan even addressed her by her family name until three months after they moved in together. The auburn-haired athlete had refused any other name until they brought down an invisible barrier between them, which was brought up by the innate shyness of the tiny angel. She smiled delightfully upon hearing her name called from the lips of her goddess.

Carefully stringing together each syllable in her mind, she unconsciously voiced out "Chikane-chan~".

Himeko took a quick glance at the other girl and upon seeing her giggle, turned around and blushed beet red. Although the giggle reminded the little angel that Chikane was just a normal girl, Chikane's presence still reflected off a flawlessness and ambition that left Himeko in awe. And little did she know, she was walking to school with the very musician she would be interviewing later today.

Her cheerful nature made her want to skip like a child as this was her happiest moment in a long time. Not only did Chikane embrace her, but the latter seemed to like her company a lot. The little angel placed a smile on her face as the two walked towards a university's gates. A few feet away from the school gates, Himeko turned around facing the other girl.

"Chikane-chan? This is Izumi University. I should be heading to class now. Thank you so much for escorting me." the little angel smiled sweetly and slightly blushed in making a small bow.

Himeko blushed hotly as her own arms have risen unconsciously and slid around the other girl's waist, returning the same tightness and intimacy. As the girl remained in this position, the little angel's lips opened slightly as though wanting to offer a kiss on the mouth to the latter, but the other girl only returned a kiss gently on her forehead.

"Chikane.." the little angel sighed, wishing for the other girl to remain with her just a bit longer.

Nonetheless the little angel knew she must attend her class. She pressed, heading towards a yellow, beige roofed building.

Upon entering the building, a girl called out her name. "Hi-me-ko!" a voice she recognized easily behind her was from her best friend, Mako-chan, holding a manilla folder in her hands, "How are you on this fine morning?"

"I was good until a moment ago.." Himeko said still slightly blushing from her encounter with the other girl not too long ago.

"Well anyone would feel amazing coming to school with Chikane Himemiya." retorted Mako with a devilish grin. "They would feel so wonderful that they would forget to do their own homework." Mako continued on grinning slyly. "But just for you, Himeko, it is done."

"How do you kn- and ahh thank you so much Mako-chan!" Himeko's smiled delightfully as she took the folder from Makoto, she was happy that she could count on her dear friend. "I'll return the favor. Let's go to Ichigo's Cafe after class is finished~"

As the little angel took her seat next to the large glass paned window, she thought to herself, "I wonder how Chikane's doing~"

Himeko felt a cold chill down her spine. She shivered, but the ominous feeling immediately vanished in a moment. She silently wondered why that was, "おかしい.." On Himeko's side, the sun shone radiantly through the glass pane, Himeko began to doze off until a sharp hissing sound came from her right ear.

"Psst." a girl next to her tried getting her attention, "Hey is it true what Makoto said? Did you actually ride to school with Himemiya-san?"

Himeko's cheek immediately turned red and looked in another direction while giving a small discernable nod, "Yes."

The other girl suddenly blurted out, "Teacher! This isn't fair!"

A man in his forties turned around at the outburst, giving a stern look at the girl who started the outburst. "What is it Izumi?"

"This girl. Himeko already held an interview with the musician. In doing so, she cheated, she even walked to school with her to get a head start."


Note: おかしい / Okashii = weird

Silence swept across the classroom as Himeko suddenly realized her absent-minded response caused this to happen, "But I didn't even know it was her."

Blood ran through Himeko's veins as the girl retorted, "Even a commoner knows who the great Himemiya princess is. How could you not know?"

Himeko knew the her classmate was chiding her, these words were meant to hurt her. As hard as the little angel tried to remain calm, her heart felt tightly strung together and the matter couldn't be settled the way she wanted it to. "No, that's not true!"

Makoto suddenly sat up from her chair. "So what if Himeko interviewed this musician early? Sensei, I think you should be proud of her for doing so. She took an initiative."

The teacher turned towards Himeko, "Himeko, you seem to have started an uproar. Why don't we have a little discussion after class?" Himeko winced, but was relieved this temporarily extinguished Izumi's anger.

As lecture continued, Himeko would occasionally feel slight pangs in her chest at odd intervals. She wondered what this could mean. She began to gradually lose consciousness as familiar images of the girl she met earlier streamed through her mind. In a meek, barely audible voice, she whispered "Chikane-chan.."

An office. A white curtain swaying next to a porcelain vase filled with sunflowers. An eighteen-year old fragile girl with delicate features lies on a soft white mattress with soft white linen covering her delicate skin. As the little angel's eyes slowly fluttered open, a man in his late thirties sat upright in a chair beside her, his eyes were closed that one could barely tell whether he was conscious or not, and he was in a deep spiritual connection as he chanted lines out from an brown tattered book. Himeko recognized whom the person was immediately, it was her sensei Oogami Kazuki. This was the man who brought her in his household when she ran away from her abusive uncle. As much as Himeko insisted on living alone, he assigned her to live with Makoto, since her apartment was closer to the school. Himeko knew him to be a very strict, yet kind-hearted man as he has provided her with finances for Izumi University from the popular shrine he ran, so she could further her education.

As Himeko mustered up her strength, she bent her knees to sit up straight. Oogami-sensei opened his eyes, "Are you well, Kurusugawa-san?"

In return, the little angel immediately replied, "Yes Sensei! Thank you for watching over me.." Her sensei chuckled at the girl's abrupt remark, "Well let's start talking. So I want to know this, was what Izumi said true?"

"For the most part" the little angel felt a pang in heart, she couldn't ever lie to anyone. "But I did not do an interview with her, she only accompanied me because I passed out a little before we met while coming to school."

"I see. Well take better care of yourself Kurusugawa-san. Maybe I should start asking Makoto to accompany to school. And I'm surprised, that's awfully nice of her as I have heard differently from stories about her..so the ice princess has begun thawing out."

Himeko found Oogami-sensei to be a fatherly figure to her and smiled at his kind words. But immediately felt slightly angered upon hearing the accusation at her dear friend, but she was definitely not confident enough to outburst towards her sensei. "I can't tell you why she did, because I don't understand why myself. But I assure you this, there was no interview done and she walked me to school through her genuine kindness, and I didn't know she was the musician."

"I see. I shall ask her myself later then." the sensei smiled reassuredly, "The concert is about to begin, and don't worry, this is just for show, to prevent those girls from further picking on you. You are dismissed, Kurusugawa-san." Oogami-sensei nodded and Himeko arose from the mattress.

"Domo arigoto gozaimasu, Oogami-sensei." the little angel walked out the door.

Once more I checked my watched. 2:58 I had made it on time. I was now standing in front of the Izumi University building. Of course some of the on-lookers continued to stare at me as if I were an alien. Some recognizing me for who I was, and others not, just from the sheer strangeness of my form being there. Walking into a building I was not a student at. Nonetheless, I opened the door and walked inside the building. I've been to school before so my first instinct when in a place that is unfamiliar, I headed straight to the guidance office. Or rather proceeded to find it.

As I walked the halls. Again, others looked at me as if I had three heads, some recognized who I was, and a great deal of many others thought I was a new student, and so they had a confused expression upon their face. Eventually after wandering the halls some, I found the guidance office and inside a man, one whom seemed busy at work, responsible and like he knew what we was doing. His hair was a teal-gray color and his eyes were a caramel brown. He sat there with his traditional Japanese robes on and a hat atop his head that looked as if he were a priest or something to that extent. My guess is that he ran the shrine that was located nearby.... the Oogami Shrine. Could it possibly be that he was the headmaster Oogami?

I knocked upon the door lightly and set foot inside the room. He instantly looked up from what he was writing down and smiled softly, but not to the degree of changing his face's structure completely. He still had a somewhat serious face on. I walked in slowly and unsure, there was silence, until he spoke.

"Ah, welcome. You must be Chikane Himemiya."

"Yes."

"Then please, come in, have a seat. I've been expecting you. It's nice to finally see you in person." He muttered under his breath... "After all these years..."

"This is a very nice school if I may say so, Mr.."

"Oogami, Kazuki Oogmai. But, you may call me Kazuki-sensei if you wish. But, thank you. It was designed by some of my answers and the chairmen's ancestors together. Thus, we've been family friends for a very long time, but, I run the shrine that's nearby. So I have my hands full with that, which is why I am only a guidance counselor at this school. Now, I have been informed by one of the students that you are to be giving a concert today in the auditorium, is that true?"

"Yes, I am giving a concert today. I've prepared 3 pieces. One with piano, one with voice, and one with voice and piano. I came here because it said guidance and I thought you'd be able to direct me to the auditorium for today's concert. I believe it is supposed to begin at 3:20, so the 20 minutes the students should be loaded into the auditorium. I have a request for two things, if that's alright with you Mr. Oogami."

"Oh, and what's that?"

"That I have some water bottles with me while I perform for refreshment and that you allow me to speak to one special student afterward." Right away Kazuki smiled and began to chuckle lightly. He sighed when he finished his little laughter event.

"I'm sure you're aware of the interview you have afterward the concert yes?" I nodded. "Would this special student you would like to speak to be named Himeko Kurusugawa?" I nodded once more. "She's the one that is going to be interviewing you after the concert. You'll be set up in a room alone together for about an hour and then you're free to go as is she. She's worked enough for today and I believe that interview is going to be her final task before I excuse her from classes. She might like to spend the day with you, who knows?" He smiled once more and picked up his pen he was writing with before continuing. "Your two requests are complete. I'll make sure that the school-board takes care of it. I'll escort you to the auditorium now, and make an announcement before we leave."

Kazuki dialed the number on the phone for the loud-speaker and once connected, the halls, the classrooms, everything went silent in anticipation for his voice to come over the loud speaker. Then he spoke again.

"Attention all students at Izumi University. We have a special assembly today in about 20 minutes. That should be fit for enough time to load all the classes into the vast auditorium we have. At this time, I would like all first and second floor classes as well as those in the hallways to make their way to the auditorium. Third floor classes, leave 5 minutes after second floor classes leave. Thank you and I will see you in the auditorium."

He nodded to me, the signal to head with him to the auditorium. We headed down and my face seemed unchanged. I was rather excited, inwardly, but that was to see Himeko again. This, this was no big feat to perform. I walked into the backstage area of the auditorium and looked out from behind the curtain at the students filling in. It was like every time I blinked, there were more and more students coming in. They multiply quickly. Although one blonde caught my eye, that was Himeko. And suddenly, I felt knots in my stomach and my palms begin to slowly get clammy. I was nervous. I took deep breaths in and out, in and out and calmed my nerves. They died down a little bit, but I sighed and went to go grab my music. Soon the whole school was sitting in the auditorium waiting anxiously to see what was going to happen. It was at this time that Kazuki walked out onto the stage where the light were shining brightly. There was microphone set up in the center of the stage in front of the piano. Then he spoke in a crisp sound.

"Greetings students of Izumi University. There is a reason I have called you all here to the auditorium today. As you can see, there is a piano set up and a microphone as well. Do not worry, I'm not going to sing." There was a small wave of laughter from the students in the audience. Then Kazuki's soothing voice continued over the mic.[/i] "And so, we have a special guest here to perform a concert for you all today. She is well known and respected by many, a "famous" pianist if you will, and of course sometimes she sings, but that is something she doesn't showcase much. Anyway, it is my pleasure to introduce Miss Chikane Himemiya."

Upon the calling of my name, I walked out onto the stage with a calm smile as the audience applauded softly. I walked to the microphone as Kazuki handed it to me and stood off to the side of the stage, out of the way. I smiled softly after placing my music down upon the piano and talked into the microphone as calmly and rationally as I could manage.

"Hello there students of Izumi University. My name, as he has told you is Chikane Himemiya. I play piano all over cities and clubs and all sorts of venues in Japan. I have prepared 3 pieces for you today. One is a piece you might all know the tune of when I play it, it's called "Fur Else" by Beethoven. The second is a piece I am going to sing called, "Agony" by Kotoko, to that, one of the teachers will be playing piano. And, the third I am going to play piano and sing at the same time, the piece is one of my own called, "A Luminous Iniquity." Thank you for allowing me to entertain you this afternoon, I hope you enjoy it."

With that I put the microphone back in its stand. I began to play the piano to the song "Fur Else". I recently had mastered this song and it was something I had the sheet music readily available to, so I brought it. And even though I had it with me for reference, I had my eyes closed mostly during the duration of the piece.

After that piece I stood up to take a bow and walk to the mic. As I did so the music teacher took his spot at the piano. And by the time you knew it, time flew by and the assembly was over. I had finished performing all 3 of my pieces and the curtains closed as I walked off the stage, hearing behind me the multiple rounds of applause before Kazuki began to release the students from the auditorium. I walked out into the hallway sipping upon my bottled water. I awaited Kazuki to meet up with me once again so that he would escort me to the room I was to have this interview in.

The little angel was in a state of absolute bliss. She took a seat saved for her by her best friend Mako-chan. As she saw the blue haired girl walk across the stage, her heart felt as if it stopped for a split second. The gentle voice spoken to her this morning began emanating through the auditorium. Himeko would have liked to call out to her dear friend if there weren't so many people and Izumi throwing glaring glances at her across the aisle, but to Himeko's relief, today she was too busy staring in admiration at the blue-haired princess like everyone else.

"出逢ったあの時に胸突いた笑顔
護りたくて　ずっと崩れそうな約束を
痛み潰すほどに抱きしめてた~"

Although it was the first time Himeko heard this song, she felt a familiarity so strong that it made heart beat in an unnatural rhythm. She felt as if butterflies were fluttering in her heart and tickling it. The presence of the Chikane released an alluring and majestic aura that trapped her audience in a trance. No one dared to make a slight movement or sound to interrupt such a marvelous moment. One could hardly describe the fine tuned melody emanating from the black glossy grand piano. When the piece was over, a storm of applause echoed through the room.

Himeko clapped loudly for her friend and truly wished Chikane-chan would see her among the Izumi University students. She pouted upon realizing that was nearly impossible, Makoto noticed her roommate's expression and gave her a nudge.

"Wow she's pretty good. Hey Himeko~ let me sing you a song too!" the auburn-haired girl exclaimed as the audience continued applauding for the blue-haired princess.

"Maybe another day Mako-chan." Himeko smiled at her goofy friend and looked at her pink wristwatch. She quietly thought to herself, "Oh~ we're going to be interviewing Chikane-chan soon." For the little angel, today was truly a wonderful day. As the other students rose from their chairs, Himeko cheerfully got up and headed towards the interview room.

I walked off the stage as Kazuki met me in the hallway and applauded lightly. He adorned a smile on his face as his hands stopped clapping and reached out for one of my own. I stopped sipping upon the water bottle's nozzle and look at him with my blue orbs. He looked right back into my eyes. His happiness was feverishly spreading, like an ailment that had just come over him. I smiled softly in return, it was nice to see others happy.

"I've watched your videos on Youtube but never have I seen it live in person as I did now. I must congratulate you on a wonderful performance Miss Himemiya. It seems the students really do like you and the assembly was a success. Although, while we are walking to the interview room. Might I inquire about one of the pieces you chose to perform?"

"Certainly. Which one?"

"The last one, I believe it was entitled Luminous Iniquity. It's a great name, but how did you write something like that? I mean your piano playing ability is well mastered and your voice, such lung power. But... " He cleared his throat, bringing his hand in a small balled fist to cover his mouth as he coughed a little. "You may continue."

"Of course. Luminous Iniquity is basically a concept of how this girl falls in love with someone else. One shines in darkness, the other in light. And yet they go hand in hand. It's all about the one whom thrives in darkness's journey to find her light again through the constant struggle of heartache and let down and of course to know if the one she loves, if it's meant to be. That was the whole concept behind the words I used in the piece. Any more questions?"

"Yes. You're 18, correct?" I nodded, taking another sip of water and walking down the halls with Kazuki.[/i] "Well, you, Miss Himemiya, are lucky. To have such fame and such profound thoughts and developed gifts as you do. It's no wonder you are revered everywhere. In any case, I hope you've enjoyed your temporary "stay" here at Izumi University. If ever you'd like to attend or perform again, please do call me. Here is the room you'll be interviewing in." I walked in with a smile, still holding the water bottle in my hands. He opened the door for me and closed it gently. It was a spacious room that smell of crisp vanilla and had a comfortable aura and feel to it. The climate was just right so that no one would ever be too hot or too cold in this room. The furniture was a black leather couch and chair set placed in the middle of the room near a coffee table that, for a centerpiece, was made of glass. There were two mahogany desks located behind me from where I sat in the chair, resting my water upon the glass table gently. They were both neatly organized and seemed to have computers that were momentarily turned off. For the most part it was quiet, that is, until I heard the lowly vibrations of some music in the far off distance. It seems this office had a radio that was playing light and low-volume classical jazz, in which, is very relaxing to the soul. Located in another corner nearby the radio was a mini-fridge. The carpet was smooth beneath your feet and never dirty, a beige color. As the walls were a more orange-tinted beige. There was a wooden fan hung to the ceiling that was off as well. It seemed this room was serene and peaceful and relaxing. This room seemed like a safe haven. This room was a utopia.

I smiled softly and sighed, relaxing and waiting for my interviewer to show. And yet the only thought still on my mind as I watched the door readily..

'Himeko...'

As Himeko walked through the corridor, she began recollecting her memories of the performance played out elegantly Himemiya princess. Usually Himeko was slow at catching up to things, but she definitely interpreted the true meaning of each of the words the young talented musician had sung. It was directed toward her. The message was loud and clear to even a naive girl like her--Himeko was her target of affection. However, the little angel knew the status of the Himemiya princess compared to her own, further making it difficult for her to follow through and accept Chikane's affections. What if the other students found out, the little angel just couldn't bare the thought of losing her.

"Ah it should be this room." Her heart pounded so rapidly in her chest that she turned around and leaned her back against the door. For a moment, Himeko questioned whether or not she was a 隠れ変態. She felt as if she was losing control of herself, thinking of lustful forbidden desires with the Himemiya princess, but she knew she must begin the interview. She gently touched the door knob as if to not make the slightest sound, and opened it.

There sat the blue-haired girl in a comfortable mahogany chair. She immediately recognized the little angel's presence and Himeko froze at that, her heart leapt upwards, but she knew she must say something. Taking a deep breath, she barely managed to muster up her strength to say a proper greeting while stuttering on her words, "Go-goki-gokigenyou Hime-sama."

Side note: 隠れ変態(kakure hentai) = closet pervert lol~

My sapphire blue eyes rose from where I was looking to the desk, upward to see a little blonde angel and hear a familiar, but, sweet voice. The sun shone in through the large panels of glass that lay behind me, and I softly smiled, once she was done with her sentence, then, standing up and slowly walking over to her to greet her.

"Why hello there Himeko. I didn't know you were my interviewer today. How are you?"

I smiled softly still motioning for her to take a seat after I sat in one nearby the door. I hadn't a clue why she was so nervous. It was only an interview was it not? But, then again, people do get nervous at interviews. Maybe I could calm her down.[/i]

"Himeko, I can see in your face you're nervous about something, is everything alright? Do you want to talk about it?"

My soft tone of voice took sound to Himeko's ears. I hoped she would calm down a bit and be able to talk to me without stuttering, otherwise, this might turn into her interview. I gently reached out for her hand and took it within mine, looking directly into her beautiful amethyst eyes and just by that alone, she made my heart start to thump.

'Himeko... your beauty is so radiant, hair that shines so glossy and never seems to lose its color. You are just so bright and beautiful and you always bring a pleasant aura to the environment.. Oh, Himeko, are you my one true sun?'

Himeko shook her head and appeared slightly embarrassed as the other girl gently took her right hand, "Genki genki desu~" returned the angel slightly blushing even redder. At this moment in time, she refused to let go until the latter did, wondering how long this intimacy would last. The other girl was dressed in an radiant aqua blue one-piece dress. She found herself more and more engrossed in the curves that the dress failed to hide and the straps, leaving the shoulder bare. The stunning figure of the girl inoculated Himeko with a love so entranced that it made even an heterosexual give in to her deepest insidious desires.

"No!" Himeko told herself mentally, "I musn't think this way about my interviewee." Shaking the sick and forbidden thoughts away, she calmed down. As the latter continued on speaking, without letting go of the other girl's hand she positioned herself in a good posture and prepared to listen intently.

"Himeko, are you my one true sun?" echoed through her mind. Himeko didn't expect that kind of question and immediately blushed hotly at the moment. Contemplating to herself, "My one true sun..that phrase sounded like a proposal, but surely she meant it as friends, or..?"

"Umm..Chikane-chan." the little angel called out softly to the other girl. She decided to head straight for the point. "The last two songs you sang. I felt as if you were singing it directly to me."

Himeko took a sigh of relief as she began thinking that perhaps the songs had no hidden meaning in them. "Gomenasai Chikane-chan. It was just a gut intuition and I got ahead of myself.." the little angel was disappointed, but showed no expression of it and laughed it off nervously.

But she suddenly noticed the latter's slight movement, slowly edging closer and closer to her, and suddenly the body of the little angel refused to function properly anymore. She couldn't tell whether or not she was in a state of absolute bliss, but excitement ran through her body. "No, control yourself Himeko." the little angel told herself mentally.

The little angel felt her heart skip as Chikane gently touched her forehead. When she felt the other girl's breath on her skin, fantasies about being in forbidden love began filling her mind. She wanted the latter's lips pressed gently against her neck. She desperately wanted Chikane to wrap her nimble arms around her own waist. She wanted Chikane. But the princess wasn't hers.

Shaking herself away from the chains of desire, Himeko barely managed to regain her voice. "I'm such a novice, I'm supposed to be interviewing you aren't I, Chikane-chan?" Smiling and blushing at the same time, the little angel pressed on, "But I'm making my interviewee have to worry about some silly girl like me. Gomen~"

Although the little angel's heart continued to beat in odd rhythms, she still tried her best to maintain composure.

I felt this supernatural force compel me to stay near her. To touch her, to constantly want to feel her warmth. It was almost as if there was a presence wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me full on the lips. My body, too, was aroused with pleasure, but, I need to maintain composure, I could not break it now.

I smiled and nodded, taking my lips and my hand both off of her body and leaning back, gazing into her eyes once more. I giggled softly. She was just so cute.

"Well nothing seems to be wrong with you, it seems you're fine. That's okay, I'm glad you're alright, Himeko. Don't worry, it's of no trouble to me. I would gladly take care of you anytime. And if we are starting off this interview with that accusation as a question, then, I'd like to at least be truthful with you."

I smiled and regained my position, sitting down in the spot I was in before. I crossed my legs and folded my hands placing them atop my knees and smiling. Then I resumed speaking.[/i]

"To be truthful with you, Himeko, the concept of that song was a girl falls in love with someone else. One shines in darkness, the other in light. And yet they go hand in hand. It's all about the one whom thrives in darkness's journey to find her light again through the constant struggle of heartache and let down and of course to know if the one she loves, if it's meant to be. That was the whole concept behind the words I used in the piece. Now, any more questions upon that topic?"

I awaited her response, although on the back of my neck I felt a pang of pain. It was a small pinch. My eyes made it seem like I flinched when I really didn't move an inch. My hand, one of them, reached to hold the back of my neck for a minute, rubbing the pain away. Only to have that same "snapping" pain come back a minute or so later. What was going on?

"Chikane...chan." Himeko spoke in a low tone voice, how she wished she were the girl Chikane spoke about. "That's a wonderful story. Did you weave this piece of song together yourself?"

Although the little angel never turned her gaze away from the other girl, her mind gradually wandered off, "But why does this story sound so familiar to me?" But she couldn't recall why at that moment in time. But she quickly snapped out of thinking and quickly focused her full attention on Chikane.

As the azure eyes of the other girl met her own amethyst eyes, Himeko felt as if her heart was burning harder. The other girl sat in a graceful position, making the mahogany chair appear like a golden pedestal fit for goddess. Who knew a girl the same age as her could appear ever so stunningly beautiful, Himeko sighed inwardly, but continued staring at the girl in admiration. She yearned for every inch of Chikane.

The little angel suddenly noticed the slight twitch. "Chikane-chan. Are you okay?" the little angel said in a soft yet worried voice. She stood up and slowly moved towards the other girl, afraid that her presence wasn't going to be welcomed.
